Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable individual to join our production team. In this role, you will be the engine behind our printing process, ensuring every run meets our high standards for precision and quality. As a food-safe facility, we prioritize safety and hygiene above all else. Whether you are an experienced printer or looking to start a career, we provide an environment for you to master the art of Offset and Lithographic printing within a world-class regulated facility. Safety First: Maintain a "Safety Always" mindset. You are responsible for following all Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures, wearing required PPE, and identifying potential hazards to ensure everyone goes home safe. Our reputation is built on the final product. You will be the primary line of defense in ensuring every print run meets our rigorous visual and technical standards. Efficiency keeps us competitive. You will work to minimize downtime through organized make-readies and proactive press maintenance.
Primary Responsibilities as a Feeder: Press Operations: Execute on-press make-readies efficiently to transition between jobs. Maintain the continuous operation of printing presses, ensuring consistent speed and output. Material Management: Prepare all raw materials ahead of job changeovers to minimize idle time. Monitor and replace ink cartridges and fluids as needed. Quality Control: Perform regular inspections to ensure product conformance to exact specifications. You must have a sharp eye for color consistency, registration, and defects. Maintenance & Hygiene: Perform daily cleaning of printing presses and the surrounding work area. Conduct basic preventative maintenance to ensure equipment longevity. Logistics & Support: Feed printing presses accurately and assist senior operators with complex runs. Complete all other duties as assigned to support the team. Time to Stand Out - Qualifications & Requirements Attention to Detail: Must be a quality-conscious individual with a high degree of precision and an ability to differentiate subtle color variations. Technical Literacy: Basic computer skills are required for data entry and machine interface navigation. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively hand off shifts and report mechanical issues. Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift raw materials, and work in a fast-paced industrial environment. Experience: Knowledge of Offset or Lithographic Printing is a significant plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic. Shift Information & Flexibility Shift Options: Ability to work 3rd Shift (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM Sunday - Thursday) Training Ideally: Ability to train on 1st shift (6:00 AM - 2:00PM Monday - Friday) Availability: Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as production demands require.
