Security Officer - Utility Site Patrol

As a Security Officer - Utility Site Patrol in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location as an unarmed patrol officer in a driving post. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and reporting concerns through proper channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and public areas, verify authorized entry when required, and communicate with visitors, employees, and/or public personnel regarding site rules and procedures.
• Support daily operations by preparing routine reports, noting maintenance or security-related concerns, and coordinating with supervisors and/or local authorities when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Possess a guard card.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
