What your job will be like:

Inspect the Service Buildings daily for over-temperature situations, water leaks, and proper functioning of LCW and air systems promptly reporting problems. Assist the Radiation Control Group in removing and disposing of material determined to be ready for off-site disposal. Provide on-site material handling assistance. Provide housekeeping support for the Accelerator Service Buildings. Promote and enforce safety rules and safe work practices, observe subcontractor construction activities, and help with requests of support. Responsible for the cleanliness and proper functionality of all the components in the enclosure.

In this job you will:
  • Monitor Service Building equipment with daily walk-thru checks.
  • Perform the role of the Accelerator Site Service Building Manager.
  • Eliminate fire load and safety hazards through housekeeping support for the Accelerator Service Buildings. Notify your supervisor if problems are identified.
Experience
  • Required: 4 or more years
Education
  • Required: High School Diploma
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • High: General knowledge of tools and instruments used.
  • Low: Ability to operate forklifts, cranes and other lifting devices.
  • High: Auditory capabilities to hear safety alarms.
  • High: Assist in maintaining an environmentally safe work area by taking appropriate action and/or reporting any environment, health or safety issues as necessary.
