The Oregon City, OR Site was established in 1969 and joined the Orchid team in 2012. The site focuses primarily on investment casting and 3D wax printing and machining and finishing and coating of orthopedic implants for extremities and large joint markets.

Robotic wax assembly, internal tool and design, finished machining, polishing, and sintered bead coating are key capabilities of the site. Our 80,000 square foot, FDA registered site employs approximately 175 team members. We ship nearly 1 million hip and knee joint implants to our customers who, in turn, provide solutions that enable patients to live longer, active lives. Fully integrated, our site manufactures medical implants from start to finish complying with the ISO 13485:2016 standard.

ORE - Shift 1 ($0) (United States of America - Oregon)

A BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Shipping/Receiving Associate I, is responsible for receiving of WIP and purchased goods.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Assist in generating a Packing slip and Invoice for each shipment.

  • Assist in calling for freight pickups

  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing freight.

  • Use of fork lift and hand truck to safely transport product.

  • Ensure accuracy of received material against packing slips.

  • Ensure accurate and timely receipt of delivered goods.

  • Package and ship product to customers according to Customer Requirement Sheet

  • Wrap and package all parts for shipment and ensure proper paperwork is attached/enclosed.

  • Perform functions in the "Made 2 Manage" MRP system such as receipt of product/materials and placing product in finished goods.

  • Execute processes to receive, inspect, store, or ship materials, ensuring adherence to established timelines and accuracy standards.

  • Support inventory management by performing accurate system transactions, including logging shipments and receipts, conducting cycle counts, and resolving discrepancies.

  • Handle materials in compliance with applicable medical device regulations, quality standards, and internal operating procedures, ensuring traceability and proper documentation.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as production, quality, and procurement, to align shipping/receiving activities with operational needs and priorities

  • Perform weekly housekeeping per 6S schedule.

  • May move parts to and from finished goods.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Or Equivalent (Required)

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Manufacturing Experience (Preferred)

  • Experience in packaging (Preferred)

  • Experience with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Quality Systems Regulation (QSR), and ISO standards (Preferred)
