Responsibilities

At Newport Healthcare, we are dedicated to transforming lives through integrative and holistic mental health treatment. We're currently seeking a talented therapist to join our Kirkland, WA. per diem therapist team, where we provide treatment at the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) levels of care for acute adolescent clients. What You'll Be Doing:

As a Per Diem Primary Therapist, you'll have the chance to provide meaningful, in-depth therapy that truly impacts our clients' lives.

Your Key Responsibilities May Include:
  • Theraputic Facilitation: Facilitate engaging therapy sessions and lead clinical groups using evidence-based practices and utilizing Newport Healthcare's clinical model.
  • Comprehensive Assessment: Perform risk assessments and develop safety plans upon admission, followed by thorough biopsychosocial assessments and treatment plans, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with your treatment team to coordinate goals and services.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain clinical records, including assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in accordance with organizational standards.
  • Crisis Intervention: Conduct risk or crisis assessments and provide intervention and management when needed.
  • Organizational Representation: Represent Newport Healthcare at professional meetings, trainings, and conferences, advocating for our mission and clinical practices within the broader community.
Schedule:

This role requires availability for two evening IOP shifts per week (3:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Monday-Thursday). Scheduled days will be coordinated collaboratively, with some flexibility based on program needs.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field or enrollment in Doctorate program from an accredited or state approved graduate school required.
  • Board registered LMHCA, AMFT, LSWAIC or Psychologic Associate in the state in which services are provided required. Licensed Highly Preferred.
  • Experience with individual, family, and/or group therapy with young adults/adolescents.
  • Experience with mental health, substance abuse, eating disorders or trauma-informed treatment preferred.

Free training/certification offered in EMDR, ABFT, CBT & DBT!

Compensation for this role ranges from $30.49-$43.88/hr. depending on education and experience.
