The Clinical Quality Measure Specialist is responsible for the data abstraction/review, submission and validation of clinical quality data obtained from the electronic health record as required by their assignment to CMS, the Joint Commission and/or other state or national registries for public reporting and/or internal reporting. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Position Details:

Education BA/BS in relevant field or ADN

Experience:
- 5-7 years of healthcare experience
- Clinical chart review and abstraction experience preferred

Skills & knowledge:
- Must be analytical, resourceful, and possess excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong project management skills
- Computer, Electronic Health Record, and Internet experience
- Familiarity and comfort with MS Office products are essential for success in this position (i.e. Word and Excel - required; PowerPoint - preferred)
- Ability to work as a team player with excellent communication skills
- Basic statistical knowledge

- Must be willing and able to travel.

Preferred Education: Clinician preferred

Preferred Experience: Experience in leading efforts associated with reporting of quality measures to regulatory/accrediting organizations
