What You Will Do as an Engineering Team Lead, Order Management Solutions: The Engineering Team Lead, Order Management Solutions is the technical lead of the Order Management Solutions development team, reporting to and working in close collaboration with the Manager, Order Management Solutions. The ETL is responsible for running the day-to-day operations of the Order Management development team, which includes running standups, delegating tasks, doing code reviews, ensuring the team adheres to Application Engineering standards, setting team standards, owning the technical design, maintenance, and incidents for the Order Management systems.

How You Will Make a Difference:

  • Serve as the technical lead for the Order Management Solutions development team, providing hands-on guidance and direction for design, development, and support activities.
  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the development team, including facilitating daily standups, coordinating work in progress, and ensuring delivery commitments are met.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to gather/refine requirements or incident related information.
  • Delegate and prioritize work across the team to balance delivery, quality, and operational support needs.
  • Perform code reviews to ensure solutions meet Application Engineering standards, architectural guidelines, and best practices.
  • Ensure the team adheres to Application Engineering standards, while also defining and maintaining team-specific technical and development standards.
  • Own the technical design of Order Management systems, including solution architecture, integration patterns, and long-term maintainability.
  • Take accountability for system maintenance and incident management, leading investigation, resolution, and prevention of recurring issues within Order Management solutions.
  • Partner closely with the Manager, Order Management Solutions to align technical execution with product, operational, and organizational priorities

Skills for Success:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or related) or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in application engineering with at least 2 years supervisor or team lead experience.
  • Technical lead experience with ownership of solution design and key technical decisions.
  • Ability to run day-to-day delivery: standups, prioritization, delegation, and coordination across contributors.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering standards, secure coding practices, and software quality principles, with hands-on code review experience to ensure maintainable, secure, and scalable implementations.
  • Experience operating enterprise applications in production (maintenance, releases, monitoring, and support) including leading incident response, root-cause analysis, and implementing preventative, long-term fixes.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with engineering leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Java/Java EE and web technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) as well as experience with WebSphere, MQ, SFTP, and API-based integrations
  • Hybrid schedule: onsite in Nashville (Highland Ridge) 4 days/week; WFH Fridays optional.
