Description The Business Data Analyst is responsible for enhancing operational efficiency and visibility, and improving business decision-making through the evaluation and construction of business analytics tools and insights. This position will discover opportunities, explore processes with various departments, aggregate and normalize data components, analyze and interpret results, and present solutions to enable increased performance while developing KPI's and metrics to measure their utilization and value impact. Continually audit, improve, and maintain existing suite of analytic solutions through system and process changes. Portions of this job function include M&A analysis, including the ability to work on secure and sensitive information protected by non-disclosure agreements. Responsibilities Business Analytics
- Proactively seeks out operational issues and opportunities for improvement, and pursues solutions through researching from multiple perspectives, data analysis, personnel interviews, and process analysis
- Consult end users to identify opportunities, gather and document requirements, develop reporting logic, and deploy reporting to meet the business needs
- Utilize technology resources, applications, and data to develop innovative tools, reporting, and analyses (SQL, Power BI, SharePoint, etc.)
- Construct algorithms/logic via SQL that provide solutions, enabling end users for better decision making
- Ensure that constructed reporting and analyses are defined, efficient, and scalable
- Independently audit usage, accuracy, and value of deployed projects and reporting
- Provide expert advice to analytics consumers on solution utilization, process improvement opportunities
- Continuously research, learn, and develop the necessary technical and business skills for complex data analytics
- Pursue opportunities for improved reporting efficiency, through continuous consolidation and proactive management of data relationships and disparate data sources
- Maintain, analyze, manage, and improve comprehensive internal and external reporting and analytic solutions catalog
- Utilize analytic tools to ensure and maintain accuracy through business and system changes, evaluate user performance, and identify areas for exception management and profitability improvements
- Maintain current education on business processes, system functionality, existing reporting, and technical capabilities

- Bachelor's degree required and 1 year of experience in an analytical role OR 3 years related experience in an analytical role
Knowledge & Experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Advanced SQL skills preferred
- Power BI design and DAX coding skills preferred

Work Environment
- 40-hour on-site work week
