Vaco has an excellent opportunity for a Junior Accountant in Ponte Vedra, Florida. This is a direct hire opportunity that sits fully onsite. Position Summary We are seeking a motivated Staff Accountant with 1-3 years of accounting or finance experience to join a collaborative and growing finance team. This position will primarily support accounts payable, payments, and inventory accounting functions, while also gaining exposure to month-end close, financial reporting, and ERP systems. Key Responsibilities Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice review, coding, matching, and routing for approval Assist with vendor payment processing, including ACH, wire transfers, and check payments Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices and payment status Support inventory accounting activities, including reconciliations, receiving variances, and inventory-related adjustments Assist with inventory valuation and month-end cutoff procedures Participate in monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules Assist with internal financial reporting and analysis Support external audit requests and documentation preparation Partner with operations, procurement, and sales teams to resolve accounting-related issues Work within the company's ERP system to maintain data integrity and support process improvements Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 1-3 years of accounting, finance, or public accounting experience Basic understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with financial data Strong communication skills with a willingness to learn and grow Positive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to work in a collaborative environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms Exposure to inventory, distribution, manufacturing, or operations-focused environments Interest in process improvement and systems optimization CPA track or intention to pursue CPA certification Why Join Us Opportunity to learn from experienced finance leadership Hands-on exposure to ERP systems and operational accounting Broad accounting experience beyond traditional AP functions Collaborative, employee-focused culture with growth potential Competitive compensation and benefits package Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
