Position Overview

The Mammo / X-Ray / Dexa Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and compliance with all imaging protocols. This role includes conducting mammography, X-ray, and Dexa examinations, supporting radiologists with accurate imaging, and maintaining equipment and imaging standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, and capable of communicating effectively with a diverse patient population. Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish are preferred.

Job Responsibilities




  • Perform mammography, X-ray, and Dexa imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols and safety standards



  • Operate specialized imaging equipment while maintaining image quality and patient safety



  • Prepare and position patients accurately for imaging procedures



  • Review images for clarity and diagnostic quality prior to submission



  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation



  • Support radiologists and clinical staff with imaging-related needs



  • Follow all radiation safety guidelines and infection control procedures



  • Provide professional and compassionate patient care throughout examinations



  • Communicate effectively with patients and staff in both English and Spanish when applicable



  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of imaging rooms and equipment




Job Requirements




  • ARRT certification in Radiography and Mammography (ARRT (R)(M))



  • Minimum of 2 years of current 3D mammography experience



  • Active New Jersey State License



  • Current CPR certification



  • Experience performing mammography, X-ray, and Dexa exams



  • Strong knowledge of imaging procedures, patient positioning, and radiation safety



  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills



  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred



  • Ability to work rotating Saturdays as scheduled
