TMS International is the leading provider of on-site, industrial steel mill services for steelmakers around the world. At TMS, our people, services, technology and equipment provide invaluable resources that support and enhance our partners' entire manufacturing operations. Our services help lessen steelmakers' environmental impacts and contribute to a cleaner environment. The secret to our success is the expertise of our people and our commitment to unrivaled service. We hire the best people for the job, equip them with what they need, and empower them to do whatever it takes to get the job done right, including making decisions on the spot to create immediate value for our partners. Position Overview We are seeking a qualified 3rd Shift Foreman. This is a highly independent night-shift role responsible for overseeing site operations with a small crew (typically two employees). The Foreman will be trained to operate heavy equipment and provide coverage during call-offs and vacations, while also performing light preventive maintenance and responding to equipment breakdowns as they occur in a steel mill, off-highway equipment environment. Pay: $35 - $40/HR Key Responsibilities: * Supervise a two-person night-shift crew; assign work, enforce safety, and maintain production flow. * Operate heavy equipment as needed and provide coverage for call-offs, vacations, and staffing gaps. * Perform light preventive maintenance (PM) on off-highway equipment and support compliance with the corporate PM program. * Troubleshoot and repair equipment breakdowns during shift, working independently with minimal oversight. * Coordinate with Operations and Maintenance to plan and complete repairs that keep equipment safe and reliable. * Track and communicate equipment status, repair needs, and clear shift handoffs to other teams. * Follow all corporate maintenance policies and site safety requirements; understand key costs associated with equipment operation and maintenance. Qualifications: * Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting background. * Experience with aggregate conveying and processing equipment. * Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics. * Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team; strong teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ERP systems. * Strong oral and written communication skills; solid analytical and problem-solving skills. * Preferred: BA/BS degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. TMS International is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, protected veteran status, disability status or other characteristics protected by law.
