Overview

Milton Rents is seeking a reliable, hands-on Yard Technician / Coordinator to support our modern, well-maintained fleet of construction rental equipment. As a Yard Technician / Coordinator, you'll be responsible for maintaining yard organization, supporting equipment readiness, and delivering excellent customer service. This role is ideal for individuals with mechanical aptitude who enjoy working outdoors, staying active, and being part of a team that keeps operations running safely and efficiently.

Pay Range: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Perform equipment check-in and check-out inspections and assist with basic preventive maintenance and general upkeep.
  • Help load and unload equipment, including assisting customers and delivery drivers.
  • Deliver and pick up small equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Support the Inside Sales team by selecting appropriate, rental-ready equipment .
  • Maintain equipment inventory systems in accordance with company procedures.
  • Ensure equipment is clean, safe, and ready for customer use .
  • Organize equipment efficiently to support smooth operations.
  • Provide customers with basic operating instructions and exceptional customer service during equipment pickup and return.
  • Use independent judgment to prioritize tasks and manage workflow .
  • Support a safe, collaborative, and productive work environment.


Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or GED (trade school or related experience preferred)
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a valid medical card
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Strong attention to detail for documentation and equipment inspection
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs. and standing, bending, and moving for extended periods
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
