PAY RATE / $53k-$63k

Purpose

Follow established procedures and guidelines to prepare samples and take part in ingredient evaluations and testing, in order to support effective application process, according to business goals and EH&S policies.

Core Responsibilities

Ingredient and Supplier Quality Evaluations

* Prepare samples as requested for customer briefs, applications need, technology performance assessment, QC standards, physical testing, etc.

* Act as the main point of contact to provide timely samples for other labs and functions within Givaudan.

* Conduct thorough evaluations of alternate suppliers for raw materials used in food production, ensuring quality, safety and consistency.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, procurement and GIS) to identify and implement new ingredients and suppliers.

* Manage the entire Engineering Change Requests (ECR) process receive change requests for processes, formulations and specifications; coordinate approvals; and implement approved changes in a timely manner.

* Participate in the evaluation of ingredients in food products and provide performance feedback Environmental Health & Safety * Maintain a clean and orderly laboratory environment in accordance with EH&S policies and good laboratory practices.

Academic Background

* Secondary/High School diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology

Professional Experience

* Secondary/High School diploma minimum 5-10 years of experience in a lab, production or related area

* Bachelor's Degree minimum 3-5 years of experience in a food applications lab, production or related area

Technical Skills

* Expert understanding of research documentation protocol

* Expert knowledge of lab equipment and handling chemicals used to perform lab functions

* Complete knowledge of Givaudan safety, hygiene, and environmental guidelines/requirements * Demonstrates tasting skills and is able to effectively describe the flavor

* Ability to participate in meetings during customer visits
