Orlando, FL (Hybrid)
Pay: $75.00 - $90.00 per hour

Job Summary

Full Stack Software Engineering Lead supporting a turnkey AI and data analytics platform focused on next-generation software capabilities. This role leads development efforts across frontend, backend, DevOps, and platform architecture, with an emphasis on scalable systems, AI-assisted development, and secure enterprise-grade solutions. The position operates in a hybrid environment based in Orlando, FL.


Job Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable full stack platforms for AI-driven analytics and data-intensive applications
  • Lead development of modern responsive web applications using React and Next.js
  • Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js and/or FastAPI
  • Develop and expose RESTful APIs for internal and external consumers
  • Design and manage CI/CD pipelines in GitLab for automated testing, builds, and deployments across cloud and air-gapped environments
  • Implement frontend dashboards, visualizations, and interactive UI components using modern UI frameworks
  • Ensure data integrity, security, compliance, backup, archival, and disaster recovery strategies across systems
  • Integrate third-party services including email/SMS notifications and learning standards (SCORM, xAPI, CMI5)
  • Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end automated tests
  • Document APIs, system architecture, and deployment processes
  • Leverage AI tools (LLMs, code assistants) to accelerate development, refactoring, and validation workflows
  • Collaborate in Agile/Scrum development teams and participate in architecture decisions


Job Requirements
Technical Skills

  • Strong experience building full stack enterprise applications (6+ years minimum)
  • Advanced frontend experience with React and Next.js (modern UI frameworks preferred)
  • Backend development experience with Node.js and/or FastAPI
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, relational databases, messaging systems, and object storage
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitLab (pipelines, runners, automated testing, deployments)
  • Experience with DevOps tooling and infrastructure automation (e.g., Ansible, Nexus, Harbor) preferred
  • Kubernetes and containerized deployment experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working in cloud and/or air-gapped environments
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals (design patterns, testing, architecture, code quality)


Additional Preferred Skills

  • Apache Superset and Trino for analytics and data querying
  • Scripting experience (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
  • Integration of notification systems (email/SMS)
  • Experience with SCORM, xAPI, or CMI5 learning standards
  • Agile/Scrum development environment experience
  • AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, Cline, etc.)


Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted (e.g., engineering degrees with strong software background)


Experience

  • Minimum 6+ years of full stack software development experience
  • Experience leading or contributing to enterprise-scale, data-heavy platforms preferred
  • Experience in defense, aerospace, SaaS, analytics, or DevOps-heavy environments is highly desirable


Work Environment & Additional Details

  • Schedule: 4/10 first shift
  • Must be a U.S. Person / U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain a security clearance (clearance not required to start)
  • Agile development environment with emphasis on modern AI-enabled engineering practices
