Faculty Part-time (Geology, Environmental Science)

General Summary of Position:

The Department of Environmental, Earth, and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Lowell invites applications for Adjunct Professors (standard teaching load 1-2 courses per semester). The successful candidates will be expected to begin work in September 2026 and assist in teaching courses focused on geology and environmental science.

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Applicants must have earned an MS or PhD degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or closely related disciplines


Additional Considerations:



  • College-level teaching experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to speak and write English clearly
  • Ability to work effectively with students, faculty and diverse populations

This is a part-time, non-benefited, Union of Adjunct Faculty, Local 1596, UAW position. For Adjunct Faculty salaries, please refer to the Adjunct Faculty salary chart for the rates.
