Overview

Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for a Talent Coordinator in the New York office.


Responsibilities

The Talent Coordinator will work with the Lawyer Development department to provide technical and administrative support.

Performance Management and Compensation Processes:

  • Provide general assistance with review committee and compensation meetings, including scheduling.
  • Help coordinate and oversee the generation, assembly and distribution of reports and materials related to the review processes and compensation meetings.
  • Assist in dissemination of final reviews and track delivery of all reviews.
  • Become an expert in review software.

Training Programs, Practice Group Retreats, and New Associate Orientation:

  • Support efforts related to running firmwide trainings for both attorneys and staff, including logistics, collection and distribution of materials, training room and technology set-up, electronic reminders, catering needs and attendance tracking.
  • Assist with preparation of PowerPoint presentations and materials.
  • Support CLE team, including data entry.
  • Become an expert in training and CLE tracking software, including Learn@Orrick.

Other Talent Initiatives

  • Assist with outreach to FWA associates.
  • Ongoing QC of remote employees to ensure all approvals and forms have been received.
  • Assist with the partner promotions process (organizing materials into folders, assisting with communications, etc.).
  • Assist with talent-related Innovation Projects.
  • Provide support on firmwide training initiatives.

General Support

  • Help maintain and update all Lawyer Development and Firm policies related to lawyers on portal, attorney handbook, and partner portal site.
  • Help keep LD portal page and Sharepoint up to date.
  • Work closely with data analytics team members to run and update spreadsheets and compile data to generate and distribute confidential reports relating to associate and of counsel compensation and bonuses.
  • Become skilled in pulling data from eReports, PeopleSoft and SQL database.
  • Assist in answering inquiries from attorney and administration staff regarding attorney performance and utilization.
  • Provide support on surveys.
  • Engage in research on market data (and other various subjects) and routinely prepare excel spreadsheets documenting results.
  • Back-up coverage for EAN/ESN prepared by the Lawyer Development team.

Compensation and Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is between $61,000 - $75,000.

Orrick is committed to providing a comprehensive, competitive, and thoughtful total compensation package to our attorneys and staff, wherever they work. This compensation and benefits information is based on the Orrick's estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include, but not limited to, qualifications, relevant experience or education, particular skills or expertise, geography. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary merit bonus, which would be determined by Firm and individual performance.
