Associate Buyer
Support
the purchasing functions by placing purchase orders from requisitions,
maintaining data integrity in the business system, communicating delivery
information and organizing files for all purchasing documents.

Job Summary
- Support the purchasing functions by placing
purchase orders from requisitions, maintaining data integrity in the business
system, communicating delivery information and organizing files for all
purchasing documents. - Place purchase orders for MRO items and low dollar
items as directed by buyer - Expedite purchase orders to ensure timely delivery
of products to support manufacturing - Perform materials quotation for prices and delivery
- Review material price variances and provide
feedback for resolution - Perform data entry and maintain purchasing data in
computer system. - Update lead times, minimums and multiples, and
vendor information for all parts in the system - Maintain files on all purchase orders, purchase
order agreements, supplier surveys, and add new supplier forms - Follow up on unquoted components during the quote
phase - Responsible for the proper handling and management
of hazardous waste generated in their work area. - Perform other assignments as required
Skills & Qualifications
Required
Experience/Education/Training/Certifications:
- Associate's degree or equivalent
experience preferred - Minimum one year relevant
purchasing experience required in a manufacturing environment
Required Skills &
Qualifications:
- MRP exposure preferred
- Basic level of computer skills: e-mail, Word, and Excel
- Strong
communications and interpersonal skills needed - Abilities
