POSITION SUMMARY The Area Sales Manager will report directly to the Vice President of Sales and Service and work to maintain and expand business within assigned customer accounts. This is a highly visible role within the company, and the right person will have the chance to join a global organization that has grown its sales by over 43% in the last few years. TLD has a customer-focused, supportive sales culture. The right person will enjoy the opportunity to travel and sell to some of the most recognizable customers in North America. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Manage key accounts, and remain involved with the customer, from commissioning the equipment through service issues, seeking to expand business relationships, and introduce new products wherever possible * Develop a strong understanding of products and services offered by the company, and develop strong relationships with your customers to serve them better * Develop a strong knowledge of key competitors and a strong understanding of the Ground Support Equipment industry to better understand sales opportunities * Participate in national and international sales meetings to give the leadership team an accurate understanding of your business and to learn from other members of the sales team * Utilize ERP system knowledge to generate quotes and reports using internal company tools * Additional assignments as designated by supervisor(s) QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. * Bachelor's Degree required, with a technical or business degree a plus * Must have a demonstrated track record of sales success and 5+ years of relevant work experience * Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite * Must be a relationship builder with the ability to be immediately credible with, and accepted by, key customers * Must be a self-starter who can work independently, is driven by personal goals, and is accessible to customers * Must be able to work autonomously, reliably, and accurately * Able to travel overnight up to 70%, including some international travel * Mechanical aptitude required * Must be a team player who can be productive in a supportive sales culture where common sense and follow through is valued, as well as collaborating on proposals with other team members * Must be someone who wants to build a career in a stable company where there is very low turnover at the sales manager level * Prior experience with commercial Ground Support Equipment desired * Aviation enthusiasm a plus The Company is committed to protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of its information assets in alignment with ISO 27001.
