The Senior Director, Global HEOR, is responsible for the development and execution of high-quality HEOR strategic activities to support optimal reimbursement and market access, with a focus on delivering robust evidence demonstrating the value of the product and successfully impacting business objectives
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Design execute strategies that demonstrate product value to Health Technology Agencies, and support commercialization, including reimbursement and pricing activities
- Work in collaboration with Market Access and Commercial Leads to identify payer evidence needs across the products life cycle.
- Partner with Global Medical Affairs and Development teams to provide evidence generation needs and payer requirements into clinical trial and
- protocols.
- Partner with Biostatistics regarding Statistical Plans, subgroup analysis, and clinical protocol designs to reflect payer requirements
- Monitor and capture global HTA and evidence requirements to inform the internal organization.
- Lead global economic model development, coordinate country adaptations in line with country teams and external vendors.
- Develop process and quality review of country HTA submissions, especially economic modeling (cost-effectiveness, budget impact models).
- Collaboration with Global Market Access to develop value-based pricing models for cutting-edge assets and rare disease products.
- Lead various database analyses such as patient registry data, epidemiologic research, and others
- Lead health economic-related publication and communication strategies, including presenting at external conferences.
- Assist Marketing/Market Access in the development of training materials and modules related to health economic messages.
- Where appropriate, undertake in-house economic studies and related activities such as literature reviews and modeling.
- Performs all PTC business in accordance with all regulations and PTC policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D., Pharm.D., M.P.H., M.S or M.D. in Public Health, Health Economics, Epidemiology, Medicine, Pharmacoeconomics, Pharmacy Administration, Pharmacy or related scientific field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in health economics and/or outcomes research in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Proven ability to develop health economic strategies in support of commercial programs. Product launch experience preferred.
- Experience interacting with payers or payer agencies
- Good understanding of the global reimbursement environment is required, with building global/regional health economics and pricing dossiers and/or reimbursement dossiers submitted to managed care or national authorities.
- Superior communication skills, together with familiarity with basic statistical concepts, are preferred.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills to work well in a cross-functional team as a constructive and effective member.
- Possesses strong business acumen.
- Agile, competent, and with demonstrated ability to influence.
- Leadership qualities essential to operate in a shared service model with global stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, be a self-starter and establish successful internal work relationships with co-workers and client groups.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as required, in a fast-paced, matrixed, team environment consisting of internal and external team members.
- Knowledge of common market practices in the life sciences industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to create and give presentations to groups of all sizes.
- Strong work ethic and sense of professionalism and discretion, demonstrating accountability, integrity, and respect for confidentiality.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills, including the ability to support and prioritize multiple projects.
- Travel requirements: Approximately 30%
Expected Base Salary Range: $246,900 - $310,800. The base salary offered will be contingent on assessment of candidate education level, background, and experience relative to the requirements of the position they are being considered for, as well as review of internal equity. In addition to base salary, PTC employees are also eligible for short- and long-term incentives.All eligible employees may also enroll in PTC's medical, dental, vision, and retirement savings plans.
