The Role -

Amphenol Military and Aerospace Operations is seeking two (2) Directors, Strategic Accounts to oversee key accounts for Northrop Grumman, BAE, Boeing, SpaceX, and Anduril.

Incumbents must have the ability to grow business at key accounts, penetrate new and existing programs, and organize, prioritize, and communicate across many functions and the business.

The key responsibilities of the Director, Strategic Accounts include, but are not limited to:



  • Develop an enterprise account plan for each strategic account, then drive the execution of that plan to maximize participation and success with Amphenol Business Units
  • Prospecting, building pipeline, and selling the full breadth of Amphenol Military and Aerospace Operations (AMAO) solutions to strategic accounts
  • Provide proactive, trusted leadership and support to field sales teams covering key accounts
  • Orchestrate customer and internal teams to collaboratively build joint technology roadmaps outlining the value that Amphenol can deliver and bring ideas and direction as to what investments Amphenol will need to make
  • Create and execute field sales campaigns to create growth and new demand
  • Maintain the real time system of record for what is happening within each key customer including mapping people for relationship development
  • Build out an account penetration model that encourages multi-operational access into key OEM accounts
  • Ability to help expedite deliveries at the various business operations for the sales team/key accounts
  • Assist in pushing front end efforts for new drawings, quotes, samples, etc. to support the sales team within the key accounts


The Person -

The education, experience, key skills, and attributes needed for this position:



  • Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years' experience in sales or marketing in the military & commercial aerospace industry
  • Prior experience working with key accounts in the military & commercial aerospace industry with engineering / operations / supply chain & quality management
  • Proven track record at key accounts with evidence of accomplishments, i.e., program design wins, current relationships, customer contacts, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and adept at both oral & written communications
  • Business and technical aptitude
  • Proficiency working with Microsoft Office software - Power Point / Excel / Word
  • Confidentiality
  • Be a team player - develop the team first and foremost
  • Be able to work in a fast pace demanding environment supporting multiple business units and product lines
  • Travel within designated geography up to 50% of the time
  • Be able to fly and/or drive...whichever is needed to support the key accounts
