Material Handler I

SUMMARY

Primary responsibilities of the Material Handler I are receiving, stocking, controlling, and shipping production materials/finished goods and/or any other inventory control related tasks.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Assists the Inventory Control Supervisor in receiving, stocking, picking, packaging, and shipping.
* Ensures completeness and accuracy of all orders pulled and reports/fills all shortages in a timely manner; provides feedback of critical inventory levels to management.
* Assists the Inventory Control Supervisor in maintaining inventory integrity of all items.
* Assists in inventory cycle counts and audits as needed, performing corrective actions and timely reporting of discrepancies to management.
* Assists in internal inventory tracking by maintaining proper documentation and/or system integrity.
* Assist in loading/unloading on internal truck deliveries; drives company owned truck for daily internal/local vendor deliveries as needed (normally 1 trip per day)
* All other duties deemed necessary

PREFERRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

* High School diploma or equivalent
* 1-2 years of related experience preferred
* Inventory Control experience highly preferred
* Must have valid Driver's License with no history of traffic violations
* Must be certified in Forklift operations, or able to obtain certification
* Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
