About the Role:
Are you detail-oriented and passionate about ensuring
everything runs by the book? We're looking for a Compliance Specialist to help
manage resident documentation, audit prep, and HUD voucher processing,
and Rural Development MINC processing. In this role, you'll create
procedures, support quality assurance efforts, and help keep properties in top
compliance shape. If you're ready to dive into forms, reports, and a bit of
training support, we'd love to have you on the team!
*** This position requires flexibility for travel during the
second week of employment for training purposes. Training may be conducted
locally or at an alternate location based on business needs. Candidates should
be prepared and available to travel as required during this time. ***
What You'll Do:
- Prepare resident documentation for audits and reports, and
reconcile discrepancies - Develop action plans to address and resolve non-compliance
issues - Update and maintain internal and external compliance
procedures - Provide compliance training and support to clients and
internal teams
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field or
an equivalent combination of education and experience - Six plus (6+) years relevant experience and/or training
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Solid understanding of Section 8, Section 42, HOME, and RD
programs and requirements - Advanced knowledge of local, state, and federal housing
regulations - Proficiency in HUD Secure Systems (TRACS, EIV)
- Knowledge of Yardi Voyager
- Excellent interpersonal and team skills
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated resourcefulness and good judgment
- High level of integrity and accountability
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining vigilant attention
to details - Values diversity of thought, backgrounds, and perspective
- Constantly looking to apply best practices
Ideal to Have:
- Certified Professional of Occupancy (CPO) or Certified
Occupancy Specialist (COS) or equivalent - Housing
Credit Certified Professional (HCCP) or equivalent - Housing
Compliance Manager for Home Funds certification

Annual Salary Range: $72,000-$76,500
