Hearth & Home Technologies is looking for a ValueEngineerto join our Stoves Business Unit inHalifax, PA.We are the nation's leading manufacturer and supplier of hearth products, including a wide variety of gas, electric, wood and pellet burning fireplaces, inserts, stoves, and accessories. Headquartered in Lakeville, Minnesota, with distribution around the world, our innovative approach is supported by a business unit structure that allows us to develop and market products with a strong focus on customers' needs. As one of our four core business units, the Stoves Business Unit brings together top brands such as Harman, Vermont Castings, and Quadra-Fire, now united under one as Forge & Flame, alongside other stove brands. This unit focuses on delivering high-quality, reliable stove solutions, including wood, pellet, and gas models.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute cost savings projects across manufacturing, design, and operational processes (e.g., value engineering, automation, material utilization)
  • Identify and drive opportunities to reduce material, labor, and overhead costs while maintaining product performance and quality standards
  • Partner cross-functionally with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance to prioritize and implement savings initiatives
  • Support and deliver value engineering projects, including design simplification, component elimination, and alternate material strategies
  • Develop and implement process improvements and automation solutions to increase efficiency and throughput (e.g., robotics, AI-enabled workflows)
  • Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes to optimize yield, reduce waste, and enhance overall equipment effectiveness
  • Track and report project savings, progress, and pipeline in alignment with cost savings targets and RCI initiatives
  • Provide technical expertise in problem-solving, root cause analysis, and corrective actions related to cost, quality, and production challenges
  • Support resource planning and execution across engineering disciplines (Design, Manufacturing, Quality) tied to savings pipeline delivery
  • Drive a pipeline of future savings opportunities, contributing to multi-year cost reduction targets and continuous improvement culture

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Able to communicate, collaborate, and implement projects with internal and external customers.
  • Proficient with computer software (i.e. CAD & Microsoft Office: Excel, Visio, Word)
  • Project management including establishing and maintaining project timelines with some direct supervision.
  • Must be willing to actively participate in Rapid Continuous Improvement projects.
