New employees can earn $67K in total compensation when working at Canam Steel Corp for a 40-50 hour work week. Job Summary: The Material Handler is responsible for operating cranes and other heavy equipment to lift, move, and position loads in a manufacturing setting, ensuring safety and efficiency. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Safely operate overhead cranes and other heavy equipment to move materials and finished products. * Unload raw materials such as steel bundles and coils from delivery trucks or storage and prepare them for use in manufacturing. * Move finished goods, including steel joists, grinders, and other structural pieces, from the production area to staging or shipping areas. * Maintain an accurate inventory of raw materials and finished goods, ensuring the correct materials are available for production. * Adhere to safety protocols. * Maintain a clean and organized work area. * Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. * Regular, reliable, punctual and consistent attendance. Must be able to work regular and/or flexible hours or shifts, overtime, weekends as required. | |
