We are looking for a resourceful, passionate Epic Senior Cogito Analyst (SCA) to triage, prioritize and facilitate business analytics and data needs across all areas of GHC-SCW. The position continually monitors GHC-SCW needs to further develop and advise on data management, extraction and analysis tools, and methodologies for data analysis. The position requires effective interaction with diverse users including senior managers, clinicians, and insurance operations to understand and document business needs. The SCA provides insight and direction in determining what solutions options exist within the Epic Cogito tools. The position oversees and provides a high level of quality assurance on project implementation to ensure that the delivered solution conforms to the desired design.


In this role, you should be a team player with a keen eye for detail and strong instincts for problem-solving, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks. You have a demonstrated ability to build relationships with many different areas of the business and you can tailor your questions and language for your audience. Collaboration, curiosity, and being an expert advisor are among you proven top skill sets. You should also be willing to independently research technology outside of your current skill set and comfort zone. Knowing the answer is great, being able to find the answer is better.


Responsibilities

  • Work with users across the organization to understand interpret and triage business needs including identifying existing solutions, defining appropriate tools and coordinating resources for development and delivery.
  • Work closely with Cogito Developers to ensure that the Epic analytics environment supports GHC-SCW's reporting requirements and process improvement needs.
  • Demonstrates excellent data storytelling skills through outstanding presentation and communication to share findings in an understandable and actionable manner tailored to audience and customer's needs.
  • Assist in defining project objectives and success criteria.
  • Optimize information management approaches by understanding evolving business needs and technology capabilities. Reduce IT cost and complexity while ultimately increasing business value and effectiveness and delivering the best services to members.
  • Use Epic Analytics Catalog & Data Delivery Tracking to ensure use of available tools/visualizations before creating new data visualizations.
  • Annual review of visualization usage and subsequent retirement of unnecessary visualizations.
  • Recommend and execute/plan improvements for Cogito Team


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 3 years of healthcare or insurance industry experience.
  • Experience as an Epic analyst or in Epic modules as an end user.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a consultative approach with users in assessing needs and requirements.
  • Effective planning, organizational and communication skills required. Ability to be articulate and clear in both written and verbal communications; ability to look at situations from multiple perspectives and actively listen to gain mutual understanding of problem or situation.
  • Demonstrated competency to provide a positive influence in potentially high stress situations required. Ability to remain positive despite setbacks or frustrations.


Desired

  • Project management understanding/skills
  • Epic certification particularly in Cogito suite
  • Experience with third party visualizations solutions, PowerBI or Tableau
