Patient Support Assistant - Operating Room - Evenings

Position Highlights:

• Position: Support Assistant Perioperative Services - Operating Room

• Location: Highland Park Hospital

• Full Time/Part Time: Full Time (32 hours per week)

• Hours: Flexibility needed, times can vary, Ex: 11:00am-6:00pm & 12:00noon-6:00pm M-F

What you will need:

• License: N/A

• Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent

• Certification: N/A

• Experience: Minimum 1 year customer service experience is required. Work experience in healthcare setting preferred.

• Proficiency in the use of computer

• Time management and organizational skills

• High level of customer service

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information

• Skills:

• One year of prior experience in office/secretarial setting, typing and filing

• Knowledge in Microsoft Office software

• Familiarity with basic medical terminology and hospital procedures

What you will do:

• Facilitate all communication regarding the day-to-day activities in the Operating Room

• Schedule same day and next day surgeries

• Greet incoming staff, physicians, and vendors

• Support maintenance of regulatory standards regarding restricted area

• Compile performance improvement data

• Assist Perioperative team with ad hoc projects

• Timekeeping
