Our experienced team partners with PWAs to advise clients on new loans, refinancing and restructuring of existing loans along with overall liability management. Our lenders and mortgage specialists provide a wide range of creative borrowing solutions against asset classes ranging from marketable securities and alternative investments, residential and commercial real estate to more tailored solutions against private assets such as aviation, fine art or vineyards. All team members are employees of Goldman Sachs Bank, USA. Your Role Support the Private Bank Regional Lending Advisor platform by helping identify, evaluate and execute lending opportunities with PWM coverage teams. The Associate will partner closely with senior Regional Lending Advisors, PWAs, Underwriting and risk/control partners to develop tailored lending solutions, prepare high-quality analysis and materials, coordinate deal execution, and support ongoing portfolio management while maintaining strong credit and control discipline. JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES Build and maintain strong internal relationships with PWAs, Regional Lending Advisors, Underwriting and control partners to support lending activity. Support growth by identifying potential lending opportunities and preparing preliminary analysis, client/advisor materials and transaction summaries. Participate in prospect and client meetings with PWAs and senior Lending Advisors; help articulate Goldman Sachs Private Bank capabilities and follow up on next steps. Assist in pre-screening lending requests, gathering documentation and coordinating early-stage opportunity assessment. Partner with the US Underwriting team on credit memo preparation, financial analysis, diligence requests and overall portfolio and risk management. Track pipeline, outstanding diligence items, approvals and closing deliverables to support timely execution. Monitor assigned portfolio items, identify potential risk indicators and escalate at-risk or default situations to senior team members. Ensure effective and consistent compliance with credit, regulatory and control procedures. Communicate clearly with PWAs, internal stakeholders and clients to manage expectations and drive follow-through. QUALIFICATIONS 3-6 years' experience in lending, credit analysis, commercial banking, private banking, wealth management, structured finance or a related financial services role. Working knowledge of UHNW lending, credit analysis and client-service dynamics; exposure to Commercial Real Estate financing preferred. Familiarity with securities based lending, structured lending, private equity or other asset classes preferred. Ability to analyze financial statements, collateral and credit requests with strong attention to detail and judgment. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear, polished materials for advisors, clients and internal stakeholders. Highly organized and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across coverage, underwriting, risk, legal and control partners. Desire to continue developing lending expertise in a dynamic business. Completion of a formal credit training program or progress toward completion preferred. REQUIRED LICENSING Series 7, 63 and SIE, or must be obtained within 4 months of joining. Salary Range Benefits | |
