The Lead Gas Marketing Accountant Working independently with little supervision, you will be responsible for conducting and documenting highly complex downstream marketing accounting tasks and projects. The role analyzes, records, and reviews accounting transactions related to downstream gas marketing functions, leads and mentors staff, and supports the business with sound recommendations. Collaborates with Marketing, Revenue Accounting, and multiple other internal and external counterparties. EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required; Accounting preferred. EXPERIENCE 7+ years of related industry experience in Accounting; Marketing and Revenue experience preferred, CPA preferred. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES * Accrues and closes monthly financials for Gas, including prior month variance analysis * Calculates intercompany pricing and eliminations * Supports Legal & Audit requests * Identifies, diagnoses, and recommends solutions for complex issues that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the department * Trains, leads, and mentors staff * Other duties as assigned SKILLS * SAP/Allegro/Horizon experience preferred * Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities, tasks, and deadlines * Microsoft 365 skills * Strong interpersonal and organizational skills * Strong analytical and evaluation skills * Strong problem solving skills * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Continuous learning mindset * Process improvement and optimization mindset * Digital literacy * Staff training and development * Oil and Gas Industry Experience Preferred * Practice safe work habits at all times * Demonstrate commitment to Devon Attributes Qualified applicants are considered without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, status as a protected veteran or other characteristics protected by law.
