JOB SUMMARY:

The Wraparound Services Program in Sheboygan County works with families referred from the Sheboygan County Division of Children and Family Services. As the Youth Support Specialist, you will have a vital role in supporting youth and parents involved with Child Welfare and/or Youth Justice. The Youth Support Specialist provides skill-building and support to youth, and also supports and assists youth in the success of their individualized goals. Youth Support Specialists assist with services including: individual structured recreational activities that build social skills, crisis intervention, school support, and parent contact.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE YOUTH SUPPORT SPECIALIST:

• Analyze youth history, strengths, and issues to determine the services required to meet the unique needs of youth.
• Implement and review youth goals in collaboration with team members, youth, and their families.
• Exercise judgment to intervene as an advocate for youth in school, the community and during emergency and crisis situations.
• Attend youth/family team meetings.
• Organize and facilitate individual meetings and structured recreational activities that assist youth in developing pro-social skills and connections.
• Safely transport clients as needed.

LOCATION: Sheboygan, WI. Local travel is required throughout the Sheboygan County area to meet clients within the home and other community spaces, with mileage reimbursement.

HOURS: Part-time hours are varied and flexible. Evening and/or weekend availability is preferred.

PAY RATE: $20.00 per hour

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related.
• Must have reliable transportation on a daily basis, a valid driver's license, and automobile insurance.
