This role leads the development and execution of enterprise-wide procurement strategy, drives measurable cost savings, strengthens vendor relationships, and builds organizational capability across operational and capital spend categories. The Director partners with business unit leaders, finance, and operations to deliver procurement excellence that directly supports Alliance's growth objectives and value creation goals.
The Director oversees the procurement team and capital equipment buying function, establishing standardized processes, implementing procurement technology (Coupa), and developing category management strategies that reduce total cost of ownership while maintaining service quality and operational continuity. This role is critical to professionalizing the procurement function and establishing Alliance as a best-in-class operator within the environmental services industry.

Essential Functions

Procurement Technology and Process Optimization: Lead the deployment and optimization of procurement technology platforms (Coupa P2P, Supplier Information Management, and Pay modules) to automate workflows, improve spend visibility, and enforce policy compliance.

  • Process Standardization: Develop and implement procurement policies, procedures, and controls that ensure consistent execution across all Alliance locations while maintaining operational flexibility.

  • Data and Analytics: Establish procurement analytics and reporting capabilities to track KPIs including savings capture, contract compliance, requisition cycle time, and supplier performance.

Vendor and Supplier Relationship Management: Build and manage a strategic supplier management program, including vendor segmentation, performance scorecards, quarterly business reviews, and supplier development initiatives for critical vendors.
