Job Description

JOB DETAILS

Base Pay: $18.00 per hour

1st Shift: 6:30am - 3:00pm M-F

The Glass Inserteris responsible for the inserting and organizing of glass to be processed into installed into the Patio Door Frame and or sash prior to finally assembly. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Select proper glass batch on Optimizer Table computer
  • Consistently hold cycle time
  • Assist in movement of carts in and out of production work area
  • Communicate quality issues or mechanical issues observed
  • Complete quality checks
  • Constantly observe quality of IG units
  • Break scored glass and place into corresponding slots on glass cart
  • Repetitive motion while completing the glass insertion process


Qualifications


  • Physical Stamina and Strength
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Experience in a warehouse environment picking and pulling material perfered
  • Experience with Forklifts perfered
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
