Location: Valencia, CA

Pay Rate: $60.00 - $69.50/hour

We are seeking a Software Test Engineer to support software development, system verification, and validation activities within a regulated engineering environment. This temporary contract opportunity is ideal for professionals with experience in Python, software testing, automation, and system verification testing (SVT) who are passionate about delivering high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain software test protocols, test scripts, and automated test solutions.
• Perform System Verification Testing (SVT), software validation, and defect tracking.
• Analyze software and system requirements to ensure complete test coverage.
• Design, develop, debug, and test software applications using modern tools and methodologies.
• Document testing activities, results, change requests, and technical reports in accordance with established procedures.
• Support Bluetooth and RF testing, test method development, and validation activities.
• Maintain accurate project records and development efforts within approved tracking systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes, workflows, and product quality.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulated industry requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience with a BS degree, or 0-2 years with an MS degree.
• Experience with Python, software testing, test automation, and verification/validation activities.
• Knowledge of GitHub, Bitbucket, and software lifecycle management tools.
• Experience with Bluetooth, RF testing, and test execution/documentation in regulated environments preferred.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and technical documentation skills.
