Workers Compensation Claims Specialist

Waste Connections is currently seeking an experiencedWorkers Compensation Claims Specialistto become part of the Risk Department of the Corporate Headquarters in The Woodlands, Texas.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee claims management activities of the Third-Party Administration including investigations, reserve adequacy, settlement evaluations and claim resolution strategy

• Assist field locations in administration of workers compensation claims

• Perform a variety of risk management administrative functions including data collection, report generation and financial analysis

• Attend claim reviews and other claim related events

• Ability to handle complex litigated cases

• Strong investigative background necessary

• Coordinate claim activities with other company departments including Human Resources, Safety, Operations, Accounting and Legal

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3+ years' prior experience in Workers' Compensation Claims Administration

• ARM (Associate in Risk Management), AIC (Associate in Claims) or other insurance related advanced designation is a plus.

• Liability claims experience is a plus.
