Description

Shape how innovative products are brought to market. We're looking for a Senior Marketing Strategist who can connect customer insights, market opportunities, and business goals to define how products are positioned, launched, and adopted. At Ascendium Education Solutions (AES), you'll lead go-to-market strategy for Jurni, Attigo, and other products, establishing messaging, setting priorities, and guiding cross-functional efforts that support organizational growth.

Working closely with Product, Sales, Strategic Communications, and leadership teams, you'll transform customer and market insights into strategies that strengthen engagement, adoption, and business results. If you're energized by influencing business decisions, building alignment across teams, and leading marketing initiatives from strategy through execution, we'd love to hear from you.

This hybrid position is based at our headquarters in Madison, Wisconsin. You'll generally work in the office three days each week and remotely two days each week. Opportunities for travel to conferences, convenings, and customer events may also be available.

Job Responsibilities

On a day-to-day basis, you may do the following.



  • Develop and lead marketing strategies, plans, and initiatives that support the growth, awareness, and adoption of AES products and services.
  • Lead go-to-market planning and execution for product launches, enhancements, partnerships, and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop audience engagement strategies, campaign frameworks, and marketing approaches that align with organizational goals, customer needs, and market opportunities.
  • Establish and refine product positioning, messaging, value propositions, and market narratives that resonate with target audiences.
  • Partner with marketing leadership, Sales, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities, establish priorities, and align marketing initiatives with business objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional marketing projects and initiatives, coordinating stakeholders, timelines, resources, and deliverables to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Conduct and apply customer, market, and competitive research to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and strategic recommendations.
  • Analyze marketing performance, customer engagement, market conditions, and business results to inform decision-making and optimize marketing effectiveness.
  • Develop strategic recommendations that enhance customer engagement, product adoption, market positioning, and business growth.
  • Partner with Strategic Communications and other teams to support the effective execution of marketing campaigns, communications, and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Guide the development of marketing content, communications, and sales enablement resources to ensure alignment with marketing strategies and objectives.
  • Establish success metrics and evaluate marketing initiatives to measure effectiveness, impact, and return on investment.
  • Stay informed about customer needs, industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive developments affecting AES products and markets.
  • Represent marketing perspectives in strategic planning discussions and contribute to organizational decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and vendors as appropriate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Knowledge and Skill Requirements

A highly qualified candidate will possess the following.



  • Knowledge equivalent to a bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing, communications, business, public relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in marketing, product marketing, communications, brand strategy, go-to-market planning, or a related discipline.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, planning, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop marketing strategies that align customer needs, market opportunities, and business objectives.
  • Strong understanding of product marketing, customer engagement, brand positioning, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Ability to gather, interpret, and apply customer, market, competitor, and performance data to inform decisions and recommendations.
  • Strong leadership and influence skills, including the ability to build alignment across teams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent project management, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, creativity, and innovation.
  • Ability to identify opportunities, evaluate alternatives, and recommend effective solutions.
  • Ability to think strategically while balancing operational and tactical considerations.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with marketing, content management, analytics, CRM, or other business technology platforms.
  • Experience developing and leading marketing strategies, campaigns, product launches, or customer engagement initiatives.
  • Experience conducting market research, customer analysis, and competitive assessments and applying findings to strategic decision-making.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders across multiple business functions.
  • Experience analyzing marketing performance, customer behavior, market trends, and business results to inform recommendations and strategy.
  • Valid driver license.
