From your PASSION to ours

Lactalis US Yogurt, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Temporary Machine Loader based in Londonderry, NH.

As a Machine Loader, the role will carry out responsibilities such as but not limited to maintaining the box forming areas and inspecting materials used in the machines to ensure that only quality materials are used. The Machine Loader will also be tasked with assisting with production line fillers with replenishment of packaging materials such as cups and lids. Additionally, the Machine Loader will collaborate with Machine Operator and Material Handling to align duties with the company's goals and values.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Responsible for all aspects of food safety and quality, as applicable and defined in plant and department procedures.
  • Responsible for maintaining the production filler with the appropriate level of cardboard.
  • Responsible for loading cups and lids on production filler lines 41 and line 61.
  • Inspect cardboard for imperfections to include misshapen or torn material to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Communicate with Material Handling when materials are needed.
  • Ensure that glue pots are maintained so as not to run out during production; communicate with Material Handling when glue is needed.
  • Follow Work Instructions and GMP procedures at all times.
  • Maintain a sanitary and organized area to include entire box forming area at all lines.
  • Communicate with line operators to plan appropriate timing of changeovers in advance.
  • Retract poor quality materials by filling out "materials reject form" and notify supervision.
  • Support line operators and maintain production line with cups and lids during filling operation.
  • Maintain appropriate level of cases of cups and lids to be ready for line operation.
  • Maintain over wrapper with appropriate stock of wraps.
  • Actively looks for ways to improve and promote quality.
  • Support line breaks and/or vacations as needed.
  • Prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SCHEDULE:

We run 12-hour shifts - Week 1: 48 Hours, Week 2: 36 hours

6:30 am - 6:30 pm

  • Week 1: Sat - Work, Sun - Work, Mon - Off, Tues - Off, Wed - Work, Thurs - Work, Fri - Off
  • Week 2: Sat - Off, Sun - Off, Mon - Work, Tues - Work, Wed - Off, Thurs - Off, Fri - Work

M-F 6a - 2:30p

M-F 2:30p - 11p

M-F 11p - 7:30a

Plant/DC Non-Office: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, lift, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate machinery and move product. This would require the ability to move around within a production environment and stand and walk for prolonged periods. Regularly communicates with others verbally to convey information and must be able to work in, on, around, over and under fixed equipment and machinery, manipulate multiple controls and machinery; to work in adverse temperature conditions, to wear and work in personnel protective equipment. Specific physical demands associated with lifting limits, etc. will be found in the FSSC22000.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the Essential Functions and Responsibilities of this job.

Plant/DC Non-Office: This job operates in a manufacturing environment with moderate to excessive noise and distractions. This role occasionally uses standard office equipment, such as computers or phones and requires interaction with others on a regular basis. When moving about the production area may encounter areas that are cold, wet, slippery, obstructed, and loud and will be required to wear safety attire or protective gear.
