Position Title: Lab Tech
Work Location: Waco, TX 76701
Assignment Duration: 6 Months
Work Schedule: first shift, Tuesday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Position Summary: This is an entry-level Lab Technician position supporting both the Sample Room and Bulk Testing functions within the laboratory. This is a fully onsite position located in Waco, Texas. No hybrid or remote option is available. Background & Context: The position operates on first shift, Tuesday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The assignment is initially planned for six months, with extensions dependent upon performance and business needs. This is considered an entry-level laboratory position. Key Responsibilities:
* The selected candidate will primarily be responsible for logging in samples, supporting laboratory operations, assisting with glassware activities, and handling administrative laboratory responsibilities.
* The role will also support bulk testing activities involving pH testing, titration, osmolality testing, and other basic chemistry-related laboratory work. Qualification & Experience:
* An Associate's degree is preferred.
* Candidates with an Associate's degree and some laboratory experience are considered strong fits for the role.
* Candidates with only a high school diploma would be considered on a case-by-case basis depending on the amount and type of laboratory experience they possess.
* Basic laboratory experience is preferred.
* Experience with sample handling, sample logging, laboratory support activities, and general chemistry laboratory work would be beneficial.
* Experience with pH testing, titration, osmolality testing, or other basic chemistry techniques is desirable.
* Specialized laboratory equipment experience is not required, as training will be provided.
* Recent graduates may be considered even if they primarily possess classroom laboratory experience.
* For candidates with limited laboratory experience, the hiring manager strongly prefers to see some form of work experience outside of academics.
* Basic Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and Word, are preferred.
