Verification Engineer II 12 months New York - Farley - onsite Job Description The Electronics Verification Engineer is responsible for validating and qualifying electronic hardware from prototype through production. On a day-to-day basis, this role involves hands-on board bring-up and bench testing using lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, etc.), executing validation plans against design requirements, troubleshooting circuit-level failures, performing PCB rework, and capturing/analyzing test data. The engineer writes and maintains test procedures, documents results in clear lab reports, tracks issues to resolution with cross-functional teams, and supports NPI milestones (EVT/DVT/PVT). This is a lab-heavy role that balances structured test execution with real-time debug and root-cause analysis to ensure hardware meets performance, reliability, and quality standards. Minimum Qualifications 2+ years experience in electronics test, validation, or hardware quality engineering (or equivalent). Strong fundamentals in analog and digital circuits; able to read schematics, review PCB layout, and perform board bring-up. Hands-on troubleshooting, failure analysis, and PCB rework; proficient soldering of fine-pitch components. Proficient with lab instrumentation: oscilloscope, DMM, function generator, power supplies, electronic loads, LCR meter (plus protocol/debug tools as applicable). Ability to create and execute validation plans (test matrix/DVP&R), define pass/fail criteria, and trace tests to requirements/specifications. Experience designing and executing manual and/or automated tests; strong test data capture, organization, and analysis. Clear written and verbal communication: lab reports, test summaries, issue tracking. Preferred Qualifications Experience with NPI phases (EVT/DVT/PVT), fixture design, and design-for-test concepts. Python-based test automation, data analysis, and plotting. PCB schematic/layout familiarity (Altium/Cadence/KiCad/Eagle). Use of LLM based tools to expedite processes. Reliability/environmental testing exposure (thermal, vibration/shock, humidity, ESD). DOE/statistics experience and strong presentation of results. Must Haves 2+ years experience in electronics test, validation, or hardware quality engineering (or equivalent) shipping products to consumers experience Hands on rework skills (sodering-putting out and taking out components) - Proficient with lab instrumentation: oscilloscope, DMM, function generator, power supplies, electronic loads, LCR meter (plus protocol/debug tools as applicable Best practices of testing and verification, data analysis Nice to have Knowing how a board is designed, familiar with reliability tests, familiar with product development cycles Use of LLM based tools to expedite processes.
