About the Team:

This is a quality engineering team focused on helping large-scale consumer apps ship reliable, high-quality experiences across frequent releases. The team partners with engineering, product, and design to identify risks early, validate end-to-end functionality, and improve overall product stability and user experience. The team supports products used by people around the world-including social networking, messaging, and content platforms-and works across modern technologies, including AI-powered features (e.g., natural language and machine learning). Team members collaborate in a fast-paced environment, learn continuously, and contribute directly to delivering dependable products at scale.

How will progress be evaluated? What does success look like for this assignment

  • Delivery/execution: on-time test coverage for feature launches, clear status updates, good triage/bug hygiene
  • Quality impact: finding valid issues early (esp. higher-severity), preventing regressions from reaching production
  • Technical strength/independence: can debug, read code, understand automation/benchmarking, and reduce dependence on eng
  • Collaboration: effective coordination with offshore teams (India/Mexico) and flexibility when needed

What success looks like:

  • They own QA for Monetization Business messaging platform features end-to-end, help keep releases stable, and catch issues before launch
  • They ramp quickly and operate as a self-starter who can handle complex test setup and cross-timezone coordination

What challenges should the ideal candidate expect in this role, and how can they help address them?

  • Managing multiple priorities at the same time, this could be addressed by working with QA Engineering Lead for planning and priority setting

Candidate Value Proposition

  • High-impact, high-visibility product: Direct QA ownership on major product launches where your work clearly affects what ships
  • Technical growth (not just manual QA): Hands-on exposure to automation concepts, reading/debugging code, benchmarking, and AI-assisted workflows
  • Autonomy + ownership: The team wants a self-starter who can run end-to-end testing and reduce dependence on engineering-strong scope for ownership
  • Strong career signal: Opportunity to build a track record fast through catching launch-blockers, improving release quality, and influencing processes

Value added or experience gained

  • Developing tools, AI evals

Are there any types of candidate profiles or skills that may not be the right fit for this team?
