Job Title: QA Analyst III
Location: Onsite (Menlo Park CA) 3 days/week
Duration: 7+ Months
Responsibilities
- Execute and maintain manual and automated test cases for new and existing features.
- Reproduce, document, and triage bugs; work closely with engineering to drive resolution.
- Write and maintain clear, comprehensive test cases and test plans.
- Support QA leads in driving test strategy and test plan creation.
- Create and maintain dashboards to track quality metrics and test progress.
- Conduct Product Audits with QA leads' guidance to analyze/improve QA test coverage.
- Conduct Bug Audits with QA leads' guidance to analyse/identify product areas that need improvement.
- Provide Release readiness support for Medium/small size features.
- Lead test execution for small to medium-sized projects or features.
- Attend status meetings and represent QA in the absence of QA leads.
- Work onsite as needed to collaborate directly with engineering and QA teams, ensuring product rigor.
- Support stealth projects which require a higher level of diligence in execution.
- Run and lead testing techniques like benchmarking testing, battery testing, performance testing
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance or a related field.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience writing and executing test cases and test plans.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with dashboarding tools and quality metrics is a plus.
- Comfortable working onsite and engaging directly with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with python, javascript, SQL
Minimum Years of Experience: 7+
Must-Have Skills
- Automation + code reading skills (strong technical QA, can review code and support complex testing)
- Benchmarking/performance testing experience (define and measure quality/regressions independently)
- Comfort using AI agents/tools in QA (for triage, debugging, and accelerating test work)
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience testing social networking apps (Feeds, creation, interactions)
- Comfort coordinating with offshore teams (flexible hours for India/Mexico collaboration)
Degrees / Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or relevant field required
Key Projects / Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- The role will focus on testing Edits and Instagram related features
- Work involves testing new features/concepts (not tied to a single AI tool), using Client tools/apps
- There may be overtime / early-late coordination due to collaboration with offshore teams in India and Mexico, especially for complex test setup and coordination

- The role is intended to be hands-on, technically strong QA (automation understanding, code reading, benchmarking, AI tools)

This is a quality engineering team focused on helping large-scale consumer apps ship reliable, high-quality experiences across frequent releases. The team partners with engineering, product, and design to identify risks early, validate end-to-end functionality, and improve overall product stability and user experience. The team supports products used by people around the world-including social networking, messaging, and content platforms-and works across modern technologies, including AI-powered features (e.g., natural language and machine learning). Team members collaborate in a fast-paced environment, learn continuously, and contribute directly to delivering dependable products at scale.
How will progress be evaluated? What does success look like for this assignment
- Delivery/execution: on-time test coverage for feature launches, clear status updates, good triage/bug hygiene
- Quality impact: finding valid issues early (esp. higher-severity), preventing regressions from reaching production
- Technical strength/independence: can debug, read code, understand automation/benchmarking, and reduce dependence on eng
- Collaboration: effective coordination with offshore teams (India/Mexico) and flexibility when needed
What success looks like:
- They own QA for Monetization Business messaging platform features end-to-end, help keep releases stable, and catch issues before launch
- They ramp quickly and operate as a self-starter who can handle complex test setup and cross-timezone coordination
