Salary: $47.46-52.73 Hourly up to $52.73/hr

We are seeking a highly analytical and meticulous financial professional to step into a crucial role focused on contingent compensation. As a key contributor, you will play an indispensable part in managing complex financial agreements related to creative talent and content distribution. Your work will directly ensure fair and accurate financial recognition for creators, contributing significantly to the company's financial health and its ability to deliver world-class entertainment.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and analyze legal and financial documents to determine contingent compensation obligations.
- Model, set-up, pay and report contingent compensation (participations) obligations.
- Track future contingent compensation obligations and related bonuses.
- Liaise with Business Affairs, FP&A and Legal to gather required information.
- Participate in the enhancement and evolution process of new systems related to process improvements, efficiency and standardization.
- Clearly communicate complex ideas and effectively manage external relationships. This includes conversations with talent representatives and third-party distributors to discuss and resolve any inquiries or discrepancies.
- Set up and manage vendor set ups.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 4+ years of entertainment industry experience required, ideally in a Contingent Compensation/Participations or Royalty department.
- Contingent Compensation/Participations or Royalty document preparation, processing and reporting experience.
- Knowledge of backend agreements.
- Must be able to comprehend and interpret legal agreements.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Highly motivated, analytical, proactive and self-sufficient.
- Ability to plan and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must be able to work independently and team up with various divisions and departments.
- BA/BS in accounting, finance, business administration or similar degree and or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience with new media platforms and technologies.
- Passion for the Entertainment Industry.
