Cyberspace Test Range Engineer

LOCATION: Lackland AFB, TX

JOB STATUS:Full-time

CLEARANCE: Top Secret w/ SCI eligibility

TRAVEL: 5%

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Cyberspace Test Range Engineer supporting the47th CTS at Lackland AFB, TX

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field with 3 - 10 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants
  • Current Top Secret/SCI security clearance, and the ability to maintain a TS/SCI security clearance throughout the term of employment.
  • Deep understanding of Networking, Windows, Linux and VMWare ESXi.
  • Strong C4ISR operations or communications systems background

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Certifications in one or more of the following: Cloud, Cisco, VMWare, Windows or Linux
  • Familiarization with management tools such as Solarwinds / Zabbix
  • Experience in Automation utilizing Robot Framework Experience in scripting using Powershell, Bash, Python or similar

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide System and Network Administration and cyber range oversight to several Linux/Windows VMware based environments.
  • Implement range designs provided by flight and Cyberspace Test Range leadership.
  • Learn new or unfamiliar technologies utilizing self-study.
  • Continuously upgrade and improve ranges to provide the most robust test and training possible.
  • Represent the 47 CTS at Range Requirement and Range Clarification Meetings with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Interface with internal and external stakeholder to ensure team is up to date on project status and issues.
  • Maintain requisite qualifications and currencies to operate a cyberspace range.
  • Occasional travel may be necessary to support external cyberspace ranges.
