What the day will look like

Aon Service Corporation seeks a US IT Professional - Applications in Chicago, Illinois to conduct web development. Design, develop, code, and maintain scalable Java-based applications using Java SDK 7 and 8. Build and support RESTful API Web services. Design, build, and maintain web sites and API integrations. Deploy web application codes and files to servers. Build web frameworks using JavaScript, React, AJAX, jQuery, and AngularJS. Collaborate with IT teams on the integration of web applications with other business applications. Ensure technology infrastructure stability and hygiene and own production assurance. Ensure correct code delivery through code reviews, unit testing, and adherence to best software engineering practices. Architect scalable solutions based on understanding of the business and products. Apply experience with database technologies, including SQL, PL/SQL, and relational database schema design. Manage multiple development initiatives simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with project goals. Partner with business stakeholders, clients, and vendors to align technology solutions with organizational objectives. Support and lead upgrade initiatives including platform migration and server upgrades. Implement and integrate new technologies and solutions to improve user experience for software and web applications. Resolve web related issues and engage respective teams for resolutions. Remediate application vulnerabilities identified by the security team as part of the frequent scans and vulnerability tests. Telecommuting from anywhere in the United States available 5 days a week. Annual Salary: $115,877 - $179,800.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Electronic Engineering, or a related field plus five years of progressive web development experience. Must have at least five years of experience in each of the following: 1. Designing, developing, coding, and maintaining scalable Java-based applications using Java SDK 7 and 8; 2. Building and supporting RESTful API Web services; 3. Designing, building, and maintaining web sites and API integrations; 4. Building web frameworks using JavaScript, React, AJAX, jQuery, and AngularJS; 5. Architecting scalable solutions based on understanding of the business and products; 6. Applying experience with database technologies, including SQL, PL/SQL, and relational database schema design; and 7. Resolving web related issues and remediating application vulnerabilities.

Salary range or hourly pay range for the position

Thesalary range for this position is $115,877 - $179,800 annually.
