About the Role

The Sales Enablement Manager is responsible for the managing, executing and supporting the development of strategies to promote Horizon's medical and EXPAND products and programs through sales enablement/customer marketing, broker and consultant engagement. The Manager will work closely with Director, CBU Sales/P&L leaders on sales marketing strategies for Consumer, Small Group, 51+, Direct Public, SHBP and Large Group segments to help achieve annual membership, revenue and operating margin targets. The Manager will be responsible for day to day sales enablement initiatives and will support all CBU markets in the execution of the Go-to-Market strategies.

What You'll Do

  • Develops or supports development of customer marketing strategies to support Consumer, Small Group, 51+, Direct Public, SHBP and Large Group/National Accounts businesses, and implements annual sales enablement and customer/broker engagement plan to guide resource allocation and budgets. Supports development of sales enablement spend and updates bi-annual forecast.

  • Manages end of month expense reporting and reconciliation and provides regular reporting to Director and CBU sales management.

  • Collaborates with Director and CBU sales management to develop creative briefs to provide strategic direction to enterprise marketing team on required materials, value proposition, annual selling strategies and priorities from the CBU Go-to-Market Plan. Provides feedback on creative materials developed by central marketing team, and give final approval on executional plans developed by the enterprise marketing team prior to implementation. Works with enterprise marketing team and sales leadership to set KPIs to measure effectiveness of sales enablement tools.

  • Develops and manages annual Open Enrollment Period member education and awareness content development plan for Small Group, 51+, Direct Public, SHBP and Large Group/National Account segments, including end-to-end project management of all member educational material development in collaboration with enterprise marketing and enterprise communications.

  • Implements & manages, sales and tactical marketing and messaging strategies with business owners in Sales, Product Development, Digital, HCM&T, Enterprise Communications and Service to be used in capabilities presentations and direct-to-broker marketing programs.

  • Responsible for Horizon's Customer Advisory Board bi annual meeting plan development and execution, including researching and selecting keynote speaker and venue, developing meeting agenda and recommending Horizon executive speakers. Support Horizon presence at industry events and conferences to support lead generation & retention efforts.

  • Responsible for the strategic management of the Horizon Broker Landing Page on Horizonblue.com and content development and management of sales enablement assets for consultant/broker partners and employer groups and membership they support. Supports ongoing Consultant/Broker initiatives for all CBU markets.

What You Bring

Education/Experience

  • Requires Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, in Business, Marketing, Digital Marketing, English or Journalism. Advanced degree in Marketing or an MBA preferred.

  • Requires a minimum of 5 years customer/broker marketing experience in financial services, consumer products, or retail industries. Health Insurance industry experience a definite plus.

  • Requires a minimum of 5 years' experience in b2b and or b2c marketing and sales enablement. Broker/Channel marketing and engagement experience a plus.

  • Experience in brand and product campaign development and advertising management a plus.

  • Requires minimum of 5 years agency and budget management experience.

  • Prefers minimum of 2 years' experience in a management capacity.

Knowledge

  • Must be proficient in a Windows based environment, including MS Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

  • Requires proficiency with technical products

  • Requires knowledge of health and wellness industry and relevant trends

  • Requires knowledge of Product Development

  • Requires knowledge of budgeting/forecasting processes

  • Knowledge of various constituent roles within the sales function is desirable.

Skills and Abilities

  • Successful candidate will need to have a strategic mindset with a financial focus, strong relationship management skills and be able to work collaboratively across the business to drive excellent results.

  • Strategic planning skills with the ability to develop go-to-market plans and execute key deliverables.

  • Strategic and tactical understanding of product and CBU segment knowledge.

  • Strong command of consumer, customer, broker and marketplace insights and translate this knowledge to identify and help solve business issues or to identify business opportunities.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as ability to present and explain technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others and gains understanding.

  • Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to influence others in a highly matrixed organization

  • Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple small to large projects in a cross-functional environment.

  • Ability to manage, grow and develop teams. Management style should include ability to inspire, empower, and provide timely feedback.

  • Drive to pursue self-development and continuous learning.

Travel (If Applicable)

  • Minimal, 3-4 times a year, within New Jersey/Metro NYC area

Salary Range:

$109,600 - $149,625

This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. This range has been created in good faith based on information known to Horizon at the time of posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case.
