The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. JOB SUMMARY: Reporting to the Clinical Director of Cardiac Cath Lab, the Assistant Director oversees the day-to-day operations of the lab, collaborating with anesthesia, physician leadership, and Cardiac Cath Nursing Leadership. Responsible for daily CCL and OR room staff assignments. Ensure adequate staffing and appropriate assignments within the department. Adjusts staffing and can prioritize cases/emergencies/add-on to meet patient and unit needs. Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to improve efficiency and establish and achieve quality and safety metrics. Able to scrub and monitor cases. Able to triage various phone calls, patient and family needs, as well as physician and case requests. Acts as a liaison between patients, families, and the medical team. Addresses concerns in real time and ensures patient comfort and understanding. Attends departmental meetings. Ensures all scheduled and add-on procedures have a completed electronic record and documents appropriately in the electronic chart as needed. Organizes and administers individualized age-specific professional care to patients in the procedure rooms. Participate in staff orientation in relation to appropriate documentation and training. Participates in unit performance improvement evaluation initiatives. Maintains and role models clinical skills necessary to provide care to patients. Practices an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's age-specific needs and provide age-specific treatment and care.
