What to Expect
Join Tesla's Service Operations team as a Warranty Waste & Policy Lead, where you will drivewastereduction, process excellence, and policy alignment across the service network. This role is dedicated toidentifyingandeliminatingwarranty waste, streamlining overlapping work, while partnering closely with the Warranty Compliance team on global policy initiatives forpay typesand correction code compliance. You will innovate audit processes with AI integration, collaborate with service engineering, field teams, finance, and compliance partners,todeliver measurable reductions in warrantyexpenseand operational inefficiency in a dynamic, high-impact environment.

What You'll Do
  • Analyze service data to identify unneeded parts and labor driven by gaps in tooling, processes, resources, or guidance. Quantify financial impact for Tesla and customers, and partner with service engineering, program development and field teams to implement solutions in field guidance, improved tooling, and rework guides
  • Surface recurring quality issues from field partners and auditors that affect customer experience, out-of-warranty cost, and compliance. Deep-dive scale and priority by financial impact, customer experience, and compliance needs, to drive preventive measures and updated protocols with engineering, finance, and operations
  • Work closely with the Warranty Compliance stakeholders and global partners to align and enforce policy for pay types and correction code use across regions and service channels. Develop and refine clear, actionable guidance for field leaders and engage cross functionally when policy or process changes
  • Innovate process improvements for warranty and goodwill audits, including AI-assisted review workflows that improve accuracy, speed, and consistency. Define problem statements, pilot automation opportunities, to scale successful audit and control improvements

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience; internal candidates preferably at S3 or above
  • Strong analytical background in warranty management, service operations, cost reduction, policy analysis, or compliance-ideally in automotive/EV or high-volume service
  • Proven use of data (dashboards, billing/claim reports) to find waste, prioritize opportunities, and measure results
  • Experience optimizing processes and automating workflows: define problems, pilot solutions, scale what works, including AI-enabled audit/review tools
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organization; manage multiple priorities and solve problems in ambiguous, fast-paced settings
  • Excellent communication and collaboration with compliance, engineering, field, and finance; turn complex policy/process topics into clear guidance; prior multi-region policy alignment in service/aftersales a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to support field teams and regional implementation; familiarity with Tesla service systems (e.g., SCA, Persona) or similar platforms preferred

    Expected Compensation
    $108,000 - $198,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
