TLD is seeking a Buyer to support our Morgantown, WV operations. In this role, you will be responsible for purchasing materials, components, supplies, services, and other items essential to supporting our manufacturing operations. The Buyer ensures purchases from a global supply base meet quality, quantity, cost, and delivery requirements while supporting production schedules and business objectives.

• Issue purchase orders in accordance with MRP demand and incoming requisition forms.
• Analyze MRP demand and adjust orders based on production schedule requirements.
• Update item data settings to improve MRP signals.
• Coordinate domestic and international transportation.
• Develop and manage the supply base to meet business requirements, including on-time delivery, quality, and inventory objectives.
• Prepare and issue RFQs and compare total cost of ownership (TCO) to identify the best supply chain solutions.
• Negotiate vendor pricing and drive cost-reduction initiatives while tracking savings.
• Manage vendor warranty claims.
• Maintain clear and efficient communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with planning, operations, and engineering teams.
• Establish standards and procedures that support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by department management.
• Continuously improve technical and professional skills through training, seminars, trade shows, and industry-related development opportunities.

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

• 2-4 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve supply chain, inventory, quality, and supplier-related issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience working with an ERP system (Infor/Baan preferred).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

• Bachelor's Degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• APICS certification preferred.
