Job Description

You will be responsible for performing advanced-level repair, calibration, and preventative maintenance on semiconductor equipment in the Dry Etch area. You must demonstrate the ability to take a leadership role in evaluating equipment conditions and defining maintenance requirements to ensure maximum availability of production equipment.

You will interface closely with Production and Engineering teams to identify and resolve process-related issues, while also providing technical guidance to lower-level technicians and determining methods and procedures for new assignments. In addition, you may serve as an informal team leader-directing activities during area shift pass-downs and setting priorities for the team based on production requirements.

You must be able to work effectively on complex, challenging tasks both as an independent contributor and as part of a collaborative team.

Shift: Thursday-Saturday and every other Wednesday, 5:30 AM - 5:45 PM.

This Job Is For You If:

  • You can perform complex machinery problem solving of semiconductor equipment in production environment for Hivac area, and participate on problem solving teams.
  • You have the ability to work under the direction of an Equipment Engineer and/or Engineering Manager to plan and execute improvement project initiatives.
  • You are able to develop your own resources to solve problems, providing imaginative solutions to a broad range of difficult problems that produce significant results.
  • You can analyze recurring equipment failures and suggest innovative technical solutions or new work methods.
  • You can lead and direct activities to develop and improve existing semiconductor equipment maintenance procedures and systems.
  • You can collect equipment-specific performance data, working with Engineering to develop and implement solutions to equipment-specific failures based on Pareto data and tool deficiencies.
  • You can provide technical, equipment-specific training to lower-level technicians.
  • You can interface with and direct vendor support to resolve equipment-related failures.
  • You have the ability to perform diagnostic troubleshooting and repair on malfunctioning equipment down to the component level, as needed.
  • You have the ability to take a lead role in resolving process issues and participate in yield investigations.
  • You can use proper judgment in resolving problems, carrying out assignments, and making recommendations.
  • You can participate in and lead/direct ERT/Safety events during the absence of supervision.
  • You can ensure all required parts are on order and follow up as needed to minimize equipment MTTR.
  • You must be able to work independently with minimal support.

Job Requirements

Must Have:

  • Associate of Science degree with an emphasis in Electronics, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of technical experience within the semiconductor industry.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the operation and maintenance of advanced electro-mechanical systems, with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic theory, vacuum and pneumatics theory, principles of electrical circuits, and motor control systems, along with test procedures, and the ability to troubleshoot issues down to the component level.

Compensation:

  • Compensation: $28.00/hr - $42.00/hr
