Neurosurgery Physician Assistant

We are seeking a Physician Assistant to join the Neurosurgery team at our MedStar Clinton location across from MedStar Southern MD Hospital Center.

Both new graduates and experienced APPs are encouraged to apply. Structured mentorship and onboarding are provided to support a successful transition into the position, regardless of prior experience level.

• Exposure to a broad range of neurosurgical procedures and care settings within one position
• Inpatient and Outpatient care setting exposure

Responsibilities:

• Perform intake history and physicals
• Inpatient and Outpatient consultations
• Review of data and imaging studies
• Provide patients with treatment recommendations and plans
• Assist with discharge planning, in addition to first assisting in the OR

Job Requirements

• Completion and graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program
• Neurosurgical and/or ICU experience preferred
• ACLS and BLS certification
• CPR certification
• Eligible for District of Columbia and Maryland licensure
