Job Details
The Comprehensive Transplant Unitis a 32-bed adolescent/adult surgical unit. The unit offers 3 levels of care: floor,telemetry, and intermediate levels of care. Care and services provided: post-operative abdominal organ (kidney, liver, and pancreas) transplant recipients; as well as medical management of complications secondary to transplantation. This unit is the designated step down for theComposite Tissue Allotransplantation(hand & face) recipients. Patient Care TechniciansatThe Johns HopkinsHospitalprovide highly skilled and compassionate patient and family-centered care as a contributing member of the health care team. Ongoing education is provided to all Patient Care Technicians to ensure that all techs perform at the highest level of their certification and scope of practice. During your first year, you will have the opportunity to attend eight days of training off the unit, which provide interactive learning activities to support your personal and professional development.
