Job Details: TheOrgan Procurement Specialist is responsible for the preparation, operation, and monitoring of organ preservation systems used during donor organ recovery and transportation. This role works closely with transplant surgeons, organ procurement organizations (OPOs), and transplant coordinators to optimize donor organ preservation and support successful transplantation outcomes. Among the job functions include: travel to donor hospitals for organ procurement procedures; prepare, manage, and troubleshoot perfusion solutions, preservation techniques, and recovery equipment; assist with initiation, monitoring, and maintenance of organ preservation techniciques, including ex vivo heart and lung perfusion systems, where applicable; collect and document hemodynamic, metabolic, and laboratiory data through transplant;and collaborate with transplant surgeons, anesthesiologists, and procurement teans during donor organ recovery.
