The Patient Care Technician (PCT) performs direct patient care tasks under the supervision of a nurse and taking into consideration the developmental needs of the patient, performs routine patient activities and delegated patient care procedures of a specialized and technical nature as competency documentation designates.The PCT utilizes basic clinical skills to support daily patient care activities, accurately records and reports pertinent clinical information, and demonstrates proficiency in the use of specialized patient care equipment to ensure a safe and supportive care environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification on Maryland Board of Nursing
  • Current BLS CPR certification provided by AHA, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network
  • One year of clinical experience is required
